Registered with Ontario Ministry of Education, Dewey College is a premium private high school and a preparatory school for colleges and universities that admit both Canadian and international students. The school’s curriculum and instruction are reviewed regularly by the Private School’s inspection branch of the Ministry. Upon graduation from Dewey, students receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.). The O.S.S.D. is an internationally recognized diploma. All academic courses at Dewey College have been developed according to the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education. Each academic course (110 hours of instruction) represents one academic credit. Students is required to earn 30 academic credits to receive the O.S.S.D. To be eligible for university entrance, at least six of these credits must be Grade 12, university preparatory courses

40 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE AND LITERACY TEST
As part of the diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities and pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.
Opportunities for community involvement are made available by the school throughout the school year.
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test is undertaken during a student’s Grade 10 year or their first year at Dewey Collegeļ¼whichever comes first.
